How to amend a current site induction - Editor

  • Go into the sites tab and scroll down to the site that you want to amend  
  • Click update induction button on right hand side  
  • Edit steps  accordingly if new or additional information is required for each induction  
  • Delete steps accordingly if not required or being replaced  

  • Add new steps where required 
  • Edit multiple choice questions (only if included in paid subscription) – click edit step button under multiple choice questions
  • Click edit step button under induction questions - please see additional features for more information on this function  
  • Edit additional questions (only if included in paid subscription) – click edit step button under additional questions

  • Personal Section

  • In this section you can enter the names of the contracting companies or agencies of your contractors. This will show on the information page at the start of the induction. The contractor can click on the drop-down box and all the companies you have entered will show in this list. There is also an option to enter their own text
  • After you had added the companies, click save
  • Edit Personal Protective Equipment – click edit step button under Personal Protective Equipment  
  • Additional PPE is also optional. Choose additional items of PPE to be either compulsory, recommended, supplied or not needed, if the standard PPE differs from site to site

Please note:

If you do not have this view you will need to contact GetOnSite

    • Contractor uploads
      • Only primary users can change the text and make the uploads mandatory or skippable 

  • View unpublished changes -if you need to check what changes have been made before you republish, click on the 'View Unpublished Changes' underneath the Publish induction button


  • Minor changes– If you make amendments to your induction, you can choose if you require all contractors to be sent an alert to retake the induction

    If you don’t require your contractors to see these changes or retake the induction then tick the box shown below  

  • Major changes – if you have made amendments to the induction and require your contractors to retake the induction to review these changes, then ensure the below box is unticked 

  • When you click publish induction all contractors will be sent a request to retake the induction, when major changes box is left unticked
  • Click publish induction  
  • When you click publish induction all contractors will be sent a request to retake the induction. The new induction will now have a new code which contractors will need to present to you when they arrive on site
